Students
on the Fashion pathway will showcase their expertise in garment design and
construction, interpreting the “geometric” theme through silhouette, structure
and fabric draping techniques. The collections offer the students the
opportunity to showcase all the skills garnered in their studies at The Glasgow

‘The role of these students is to
challenge the sameness of mass manufactured globalized fashion and create
something new,’ says Head of Fashion and Textiles, Jimmy Stephen-Cran ‘As well as
developing each student’s individual creative identity, Fashion Show
is essentially about team activity and wouldn’t happen without the astonishing
resourcefulness and team working skills demonstrated by the students. For many
this will be the first time their individual and collaborative efforts will be
subject to public scrutiny. It will be daunting for them, but exhilarating at
the same time’
