2015 New Designers exhibition in London last night, 24 June 2015. Every year, a series of prestigious, industry
supported Awards and Associate Prizes are presented to the most innovative
graduates at New Designers. They form a very
important part of the show and are proven to have a direct and personal
impact on the career of the winners.

24-year old Olivia, who was was born in China, was brought up in Inverness where her family is now based. She attended Milburn Academy before coming to The Glasgow School of Art . A specialist in knit, Olivia graduated from the GSA last week, and along with other young designers from

Olivia’s win follows
hot on the heals of the announcement that one of the recent cohort of Fashion
Design graduates, Jonathan Douglas, will be joining Tommy Hilfiger Calvin
Klein.

both category winners in the New Designer 2015 Awards.
Further success for GSA alumni at the New Designers Awards came in the form of two Silversmithing & Jewellery graduates. Karen Westland won the Goldsmiths Company Silversmithing Award and Ieva Mikutaite won the Goldsmiths Company Jewellery Award.
