The Glasgow School of Art’s position as an international leader in Art and Design education has once again been underlined with the publication of the QS 2021 global university rankings. The GSA has been in the top 20 institutions internationally for the last seven years and in the 2021 rankings has retained its position as 8th in the world for the third year in a row.
One of only three UK universities to have made the top flight (the other two being in London) and the only Scottish university in the top 50, the GSA is among august company in form of five leading US universities – including Pratt Institute, New York, MIT and the School of Art Institute, Chicago – and two high-profile European universities.
“The QS rankings are one of the most influential records of success in Higher Education,” says Professor Penny Macbeth, Director of The Glasgow School of Art.
“The GSA’s continued top ten place internationally is not just tremendous news for us, but for the city of which we are an important part and in which our graduates live and work.”
