Professor Irene McAra-Mcwilliam, Head of School of Design at the GSA and Director of the Creative Campus, Highlands and Islands was awarded an OBE today by Her Majesty the Queen at the Investiture Ceremony at the Palace of Holyrood House.
Professor Irene McAra-Mcwilliam was awarded the OBE in recognition of her work in Higher Education, Innovation and Design.
“This a tremendous accolade for Irene,” says Prof Tom Inns, Director of The Glasgow School of Art. “It recognises the wide impact of her work at The Glasgow School of Art over many years, notably her leadership of the School of Design, the Institute of Design Innovation and the Creative Campus, Highlands and Islands. “
