Professor
Penny Macbeth, Director of The Glasgow School of Art and Vasyl Kosiv, Rector of
Lviv National Academy of Arts, asynchronously signed the Twinning MoU between
our two Schools.

As part of the Universities UK International (UUKi) Twin for Hope
campaign
, GSA has twinned with Lviv National Academy of the Arts in
Ukraine.  Twin for Hope showcases how twinning partnerships between UK and
Ukrainian universities are making a positive difference during this
humanitarian crisis.

In the initial phase they
will collaborate to provide: support to the UKR partners’ academics and students;
support in developing online materials; opening up of research groups to UKR
partners researchers; hosting summer schools/island programmes; and equipment.

In the second phase we hope
to look at collaborative academic provision; faculty/staff or student exchange
programmes; visiting scholar activities; and collaborative research projects.

The MoU was made possible with the help of Professor Marcel Benčík,
Vice-Rector for International Co-operation, Academy of Fine Arts and Design,
Bratislava and Thomas
Greenough,
Head of International Development from the GSA.
