School of Simulation and Visualisation (SimVis) joined Knowledge Point today showcasing its AR / VR work at the international education-technology trade show, BETT 2020.

The Glasgow School of Art has become the first Unity Academic Alliance (UAA) partner within the UK and earlier today the School of Simulation and Visualisation (SimVis) showcased its AR / VR work at BETT 2020.

“Unity has been a great fit for us at The Glasgow School of Art because it allows our students to concentrate on the creative and artistic aspects of their work while easing them into some of the more demanding technical aspects of 3D, AR, and VR development. When I think about where we were 10 years ago, I don’t think a programme like ours would have been feasible back then. Modern tools like Unity now make it possible, and we’re very excited to be joining the UAA program. I can’t wait to see where we go in the next 10 years.”
Brian Loranger, Visualisation and Serious Games Lecturer,
School of Simulation and Visualisation,
 The Glasgow School of Art
“Unity and The Glasgow School of Art are a text-book example of how industry and academia are working together bridging the skills gap, opening opportunities for the young to entrepreneurism and innovation.
Tuuli Eaton, Head of Marketing and Client Engagement at KnowledgePoint Ltd.
