meets with students at GSA Singapore
The Glasgow School of Art has
been delivering Years 3 and 4 of its undergraduate degrees in Interior Design
and Communication Design in Singapore since 2012.
The programmes enable Diploma students
from one of Singapore’s Polytechnics
to progress from a Diploma to a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree. Students
are taught by staff from the GSA and from Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). A key part of the programmes is
an overseas immersion period at the end of year 3 which the students spend
partly at the GSA’s Garnethill campus in Glasgow and partly at the
institution’s Highlands and Islands campus in Forres.
To date over 300 students have graduated from
the GSA Singapore with around 100 more set to graduate this summer.
