Turner prize artists, including Simon Starling, Jim Lambie and Karla Black, are among the leading
artists supporting The Glasgow School of Art by donating works for the MFA
auction. Other artists with works featured in the fundraiser are international
artists Teresa Margolles, Nicolas Party and Ciara Philips; acclaimed Glasgow-based
artists David Sherry, David Shrigley and Carol Rhodes, and one of this year’s
Turner nominees, Luke Fowler. The 2012
MFA auction will take place on Saturday 1 December 2012 at the Poetry Club,
Glasgow.

Reserves on the works in the Silent
Auction, which features pieces by current MFA students, start at only £25. For
those who are unable to attend the event in person, an advance or absentee
bidding service is available for the live auction.

The proceeds of the annual MFA Auction
enable the students to undertake a range of post-degree projects at home and
abroad.  Images of the artworks can be
viewed at www.mfaglasgow.co.uk along
with information about the pieces and the artists, together with registration
details for advance bidding.

The MFA Auction will be held at The
Poetry Club, 100 Eastvale Place, Glasgow, G3 8QG on Saturday 1 December 2102:

6pm – 8pm, Silent Auction

8.30pm Live Auction
