The Glasgow School of Art Masters Fashion Salon Show was staged at The Social Hub on the 20th of August, showing a dazzling array of bold and innovative design, textiles and tailoring in a catwalk show of stunning garment collections.
The Master of Design in Fashion Design programme develops resourceful and independently minded designers who challenge and interrogate the field of fashion in new and innovative ways, taking inventive, rule-breaking approaches to surface and silhouette. Students embrace a playful, unrestrained dress-up-box approach to fashion, subverting and disrupting craft and clothing conventions.
The 2026 salon show format allowed for an intimate and tactile presentation from the designers on the programme, across three afternoon runway shows. Attendees were invited to experience the breadth of work made by the cohort of new designers in close-up, catwalk presentation.
